Porches Shares New Song, “Car” from new LP Pool, out now

Easily one of the most highly anticipated albums of early 2016, Porches are set to release their full-length debut album Pool this Friday, February 5th via Domino Records. To build up even more fervor, the group has shared a new track “Car” streaming above.

Keep an eye on Porches, who are lining up to be a huge buzz band this year: frontman Aaron Maine will perform for Pitchfork and Shinola at NYFW later this week; Porches will make their SXSW debut later this year, and will embark on a huge tour to start out the year to support the new album. Pool is an elegantly laid out album filled with synth-driven dark pop songs, perfectly exemplified by today’s latest single, “Car”, which features the guitars that echo the sound of Beach Fossils and Wild Nothing. The drum machine and synth provide enough vigor and hope that make the song just optimistic enough to leave the listener wanting more.
