Kurt Vile’s discography reads like an autobiography. The Philadelphia born-and-raised musician has released five official albums since 2008, not including his first recorded music being self-distributed back in 2003. Last year’s Wakin’ On A Pretty Daze, was one of 2014’s best, a true showcasing of Vile’s songwriting and guitar playing skills, the double-LP featured songs as dreamy and expansive as they were technically sound and impressing.
Today, Kurt Vile has announced b’lieve i’m goin down…, to be released this fall via Matador Records. Watch the album trailer above, which features some footage from the studio accompanied by a dreamy backing track featuring Vile’s signature smooth guitar work and shoe-gazing saxophone.
Vile has also announced tour dates for the fall, found below. Tickets go on sale this week. Kurt Vile is also slotted to appear at this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago July 19-21.
