The more you hear Jamie xx’s standout track “Loud Places”, the more difficult it’s becoming to deny that the song is a serious a contender for Song of the Year – a feat very few songs can claim after heavy rotation. It’s receiving plenty of air time on independent radio here in Milwaukee, and Jamie xx has been taking the song to various late night programs lately, typically bringing The xx’s Romy and Oliver with him. Last night on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” however, Jamie brought a few extra friends with him to the Late Night stage, including Caroline Polachek from Chairlift, Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, Jehnny Beth of Savages, Okay Kaya, Moses Sumney, along with the Harlem Gospel Choir.The performance is spot on – a perfect live rendition of an almost perfect song.
