Los Angeles punk outfit FIDLAR have announced the follow-up to their 2013 self-titled debut album. The latest album, Too, will be released on September 4, via Mom + Pop Music. The band’s debut album put them in the limelight of the garage punk movement, and saw them opening for bands like The Pixies, Black Lips, Delta Spirit, and a ton more, and with the release of the Too, the group will venture out on a headlining tour around the release date.
The group worked with producer Jay Joyce for the album, which was recorded over the span of two weeks in Nashville. Guitarist and lead singer Zac Carper said of the upcoming album:
“We could have made record number one again… but instead we decided to challenge ourselves and admit that we don’t know everything… Up until this point we had recorded everything ourselves, so working with a producer taught us so much. I didn’t want to make a standard rock record. The goal for this album was to think outside the box and I think Jay really helped us do that.”
